SR Mailing believes that we all have a responsibility to both our environment and to the future generations.

Polythene is a valuable and finite resource

At SR Mailing we have adopted a zero waste policy and proudly manufactured 100% recycled content grey mailers, without effecting the performance of the product.

Recycled contents are hard to predict but the latest technology and years of polythene film making experience enables us to stabilize the quality of the recycled film and give performance as good as virgin content.

Each year SR Mailing ships over 300 pallets of polythene granular back to our closed loop recycling system. This prevents those used plastics going to landfill sites. We aim to recycle  the same amount of waste to match our level of sales.

Each year over 2500 tonnes or 500 pallets of polythene scrap material is recycled in the closed loop recycling system - that's 2500 less tonnes of polythene going to landfill sites.

Apart from this, over the past few months SR Mailing has endeavoured to reduce its carbon footprint and aims to tackle the global plastic environmental issue.

To do this SR Mailing are looking to develop an environmentally friendly range of packaging. This will form part of our environmental management and social responsibility.

SR Mailing is committed to tackling plastic waste, especially waste that pollutes our oceans. To this end we are:

 Developing a new range of 100% recycled grey mailers.

 Offering a range of biodegradable packaging.

 Offering recycled and recyclable packaging as standard.

 Educating customers and users of the recycling options through printed on-pack information.

 Minimising the material used and the waste onsite.

Following the waste hierarchy of reducing, repairing, re-purposing and recycling, composting and recovery where ever possible.

SR Mailing are committed to the Plastic Pact by WRAP to ensure the following outcomes by 2025:
